I have never run a project this size before.
npx halfcycle That is the normal case, and it is the one this is built for. There is nothing to read first, no checklist open in another tab, nothing to memorise. You say what you want to build and it asks you the next question, then the one after that.
You do not need to know the process. That is the point of it.
Most people who start building something real with AI tools have never run a software project before, and the ones who have usually ran smaller ones. That is not a failing. It is the normal starting point, and pretending otherwise is how people end up stuck a few weeks in, with a pile of code nobody fully understands.
Running a project well is mostly knowing which question to ask next. What exactly are we building? Who is it for? What happens when two people change the same thing at once? What does finished look like? Experienced people ask these in a sensible order without thinking about it. Newer people either skip them or try to answer all of them at once.
So Halfcycle asks them for you, one at a time, and each question arrives with a suggested answer and the reason behind it. Say you want an app for a local football league. It might ask whether parents, coaches or both will use it. You say both. Next it asks whether a coach should be able to see every parent’s phone number. You had not considered that, and the answer changes what gets built.
There is nothing to study beforehand and no checklist to keep open. You answer the question in front of you, and it tells you what happens next.
