Does this replace the tool I already use?
npx halfcycle No. Halfcycle runs on your own Claude, and adds a product owner, architect, planner and reviewer as and when they are needed. There are no extra skills or frameworks to add, and other skill packs are not designed to run alongside it. Codex and OpenCode support is coming soon.
Claude Code is all you need.
The tool you use today is probably very good at the part it does, which is turning a clear request into working code. That part does not change. Halfcycle runs on your own Claude, inside Claude Code, and the writing still happens there.
What it adds is the rest of a team, brought in as and when the work needs them. Before anybody starts, a product owner pins down what you are actually building. An architect decides how the pieces fit, so the parts of the system agree with each other. The planner cuts the work into pieces that can each be finished, and a reviewer reads the result back before you rely on it.
Here is why that matters. On Monday you ask for a way to cancel an order, and it works. On Thursday you ask for a monthly sales report, and that works too. Nobody told the report that cancelled orders exist, so it counts them as sales. Each request was done well. The mistake lives between them, which is where an architect and a reviewer look and a single request never does.
There is nothing extra to bolt on. You do not need other skill packs or frameworks, and they are not designed to run alongside it. Support for Codex and OpenCode is coming; until then, Claude Code is the one place it runs.
